Description
A Monarch Butterfly pushes through the thin membrame surrounding it to complete it's eclosure once it is fully free it will hang upside down while it dries it's wings. While working on this image I couldn't help thinking of the song by The Doors titled "When The Music's Over" towards the end of the song Morrison sings "I want to hear the scream of the butterfly". Those lyrics stuck with me throughout my life , I still did not hear the scream of the butterfly, but watching it emerge I think I felt it!
